1) If you do not have the Genesis search platform you can go into your Widgets area (IN WordPress) and there is a box under the Widget list which says “Search”. Pull that box over to the sidebar area that you want it in and in what order (to the top, to the bottom, or in the middle). Then you can put “Search” in it or let it be and it will show up as Search in your sidebar.
2) If you have Genesis for your platform for blogging you can find the “Search feature” under “Genesis”, then “Theme Settings”. Once you go in there near the “Navigation” section there is a place to check mark if you would like a) today’s date to the right of the header b)Twitter or Rss 3) Search. If you choose the Search it will show up either on the left hand side of your blog under your header or to the right of the header-or well just below.
Also the Search feature in the Genesis platform can also be found in the Widget area just as you can in a non-Genesis set up.
